The ISE successfully welcomed two groups of lecturers and students from California Maritime Academy (May 2019)

Within the framework of the cooperation between the International School of Education (ISE) and California Maritime Academy (CMA), with the aim of increasing understanding and student exchange between the two Institutes. The ISE is pleased to welcome 2 groups of students and faculty members of the California Maritime Academy (CMA) to visit Hai Phong city and Vietnam Maritime University (VMU) from May 14, 2019 to May 16, 2019 and from May 23, 2019 to May 25, 2019. This is also the first year that the ISE welcomes 2 consecutive groups of CMA student and faculty members for a period of two weeks. However, thanks to the efforts and hard work of the staff of the Institute, along with the enthusiastic participation of the students, the reception activities went smoothly and brought many great experience for members from both sides.

During the time in Hai Phong city, CMA students have visited VMU, met with the school leaders as well as visited some key industrial and business zones of the city such as Hai Phong Port, LG Electronics Hai Phong company in Trang Due industrial zone, Lach Huyen port, Bach Dang Giang relic area ... they have also participated in many activities of cultural exchange with students of the ISE.

A cultural exchange program was held on the afternoon of May 16, 2018 by the ISE English Club. The program gave a brief introduction about Vietnamese culture, traditional Vietnamese costumes, as well as some famous dishes of Vietnam in general and of Hai Phong city in particular to the students of CMA. In this program, CMA students also had experience making 'Pho Cuon' - One of the special dishes of Vietnamese cuisine. In addition, CMA students have prepared many interesting games and created great connection and interaction with ISE's sudents.

In that afternoon, after the end of the cultural exchange program, students and falculty memebers from the two institutes had a friendly football match with. The match ended in a friendly atmosphere with a 4 - 4 draw.

This annual program for students and falculty members of CMA at the Vietnam Maritime University and the International School of Education has successfully taken place. ISE students have left a good impression on the hospitality, enthusiasm, friendliness, talent in the eyes of American students and in turn getting many good memories when participating in the program's activities. Through the visit, the friendship and cooperation between VMU - CMA in general and ISE - CMA in particular became even more and more profound.
