Student Scientific Research (SSR) is an annual activity organized by Vietnam Maritime University to encourage and foster the scientific research movement among students, helping them develop research skills in topics and fields of their interest. This activity consistently receives close attention and guidance from the university leadership, support from scientists and lecturers, and enthusiastic participation from students across the institution.
Continuing the tradition of scientific research, in the academic year 2022-2023, Vietnam Maritime University had a total of 154 student research projects involving more than 485 students, covering diverse research areas such as simulation, automation, information technology, mechanical engineering, environment, logistics, economics, law, and English language studies. After the departmental-level evaluations, 25 outstanding research projects were selected for consideration in the University-level Student Scientific Research Awards.
On May 18 and 19, 2023, Vietnam Maritime University held the final evaluation and award ceremony for the "Student Scientific Research" competition for the academic year 2022-2023, chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Son, Vice Rector of the University. This event was part of a series celebrating Vietnam's Science and Technology Day 2023 (May 18, 2023).

The student group from the Institute of International Education and the Faculty of Information Technology, consisting of Nguyen Hai Anh Nguyen Phuong Thao (IBL61ĐH), Nguyen Do Hieu, and Tran Cong Minh (CNT60ĐH), under the guidance of Dr. Nguyen Minh Duc and M.A. Pham Trung Minh, excelled and won the first prize with the project "Research on the Manufacture of AGV Robots for Automated Goods Transport in E-commerce Warehouses" (SV22-23.131).
The Institute of International Education would like to congratulate the student group and lecturers for their relentless efforts over the past months, as well as the achievements that they have attained in this period. The success of the group serves as a significant source of motivation and encouragement for students and is a point of pride for the Institute of International Education.
The Student Scientific Research Conference has truly spread the passion for research, fueled the enthusiasm for scientific inquiry among students, created an environment for knowledge exchange, and contributed to discovering and nurturing the research potential of lecturers and students. With the scientific research achievements of students in the academic year 2022-2023, we hope that the students of the Institute of International Education will continue to promote and spread the spirit of learning and research, striving to achieve even greater accomplishments in their studies and scientific research activities, thus asserting the role and position of the Institute of International Education and Vietnam Maritime University in the process of development, integration, and growth.
